About Me

Chris Tsielepi Secretary of SMILE since last year's AGM and resident in Stoney Middleton for 4 years now. I love coming home, I love bumping into neighbours and friends when out and about in the village or on walks. I spent my early years in a village and then moved to inner London at 5 years old. It was only when I came to live in Stoney Middleton that I realised that what I'd been looking for in those intervening years was that village life again and I don't think I could have done better than Stoney Middleton.

Village Day 11th June on the Playing Field

April 1, 2011
Village Day is fast approaching and we're hoping to make it bigger and better than previous years. We've already confirmed "Behind the Mask" a local band who will be playing live. We will have Village Day  favourites such as the tombola, burger bar, tea tent with delicious home made cakes and bouncy castles. This year we've also got a stall from "Sparkling Ladies" selling eye-catching and affordable jewellery and a stall selling very affordable designer-style handbags. If you want to have a stall at Village Day you can, it's easy. Just £5 buys your pitch! Bring a table, chair and start selling. In line with our misson to interest & educate we're very pleased to announce that Derbyshire County Council's Recycling Roadshow will be with us this year. They will answer your questions on recycling and have a range of articles made from recycled materials.
